Walking Culture 2.0 – Outdoor and Indoor Collective Exhibition . Promoting Taipa Village Through Art, Culture and Heritage

To celebrate the 10^th anniversary of the Taipa Village Cultural Association, we are proud to present “Walking Culture 2.0 – Outdoor and Indoor Collective Exhibition”. Returning for its second edition, this showcase features a curated selection of works by 14 distinguished artists who have previously exhibited at the Taipa Village Art Space throughout the past decade.  Featured artists include graffiti pioneer P.I.B.G.; photographers Chan Hin Io, Ieong Man Pan and Rusty Fox; Portuguese illustrators Ricardo Lima, André Carrilho, Ana Aragão and Macau illustrator Sara Hung; artist Fan Sai Hong; watercolour masters Lio Man Cheong and Chao Iok Leng; fashion designer Clara Brito; visual and conceptual artists Crystal W. M. Chan and Bianca Lei.

The exhibition seamlessly bridges the gallery and the streetscape. Inside the Taipa Village Art Space, visitors can explore the original artworks, alongside a big map showcasing the locations of the artists’ outdoor installations. Throughout the village, large-scale banners (1.8m x 1.2m) are strategically placed, each highlighting an artist’s profile and the creative vision. These installations, crafted with durable waterproof materials and set in wooden frames, feature a colour palette inspired by the iconic pastel hues—green, yellow, and orange—of the area’s heritage architecture.

By integrating art into the fabric of the community, “Walking Culture 2.0” invites visitors to embark on a journey of discovery. It encourages the audience to explore the village’s unique charm and cultural heritage through a leisurely stroll, connecting the outdoor installations back to the original masterpieces within the gallery.
