Sam’s Workshop

As you stroll through the intertwined alleys in Taipa Village, you may occasionally come across a historic preservation site of the Iec Long Firecracker Factory where Sam’s Workshop is situated.  Surrounded by culturally-rich, historic and peaceful atmosphere, the café is a perfect spot to unwind a relaxing moment, either individually or with companions.

The café offers a variety of roll cakes in various flavours. The delicate chiffon cake, layered with Sam’s homemade strawberry cheese and crowned with fresh strawberries, is the shop’s signature product. The subtle taste of the cheese complements the naturally sweet and tart scent of the strawberries. The taro and salted egg roll is a must-try for fans of taro paste! Together, the creamy taro and salty egg blend into a thick yet non-greasy mixture that melts softly on the tongue and conveys a hint of sweetness. The subtle grey roll evokes an unexpectedly delicious combination of refreshing coconut and airy sesame seeds, and the creamy custard in between is both visually appealing and delicious!

It is also worthwhile to try the Valrhona 70% chocolate cake. Cream is mixed with rich, fragrant chocolate, and crunchy and crispy pieces of Valrhona chocolate are placed on top of the cake’s outer layer. A bite into the soft chocolate cake, crunchy almonds, and smooth raw chocolate explode in the mouth with three distinct flavours.

The cafe also welcomes pre-order for a selection of fruit cheesecakes, which are decorated with crispy cake foundation, thick cheesecake, and fresh fruit. The Chinese zodiac cake, which comes in adorable shapes with seasonal fruit, is always a great option for birthday celebrations!
