Property Background

Overview

Real estate investment firm Sniper Capital introduced the largest flagship project in Taipa Village, spanning over 30,000 square feet and boasts a generous 50-metre frontage within a spacious pedestrianised square in the heart of Taipa Village. This five-storey building offers both retail and restaurant facilities, with design features drawing inspiration from the mercantile history and cultural significance that historically occupied the site.

Architectural Background and Design Elements

  • The property was remodelled from a former warehouse by the waters which used to be an active site for merchant trading and cargo unloading.
  • The design aims to replicate the authentic multi-storey Portuguese structure that once graced old Taipa, drawing inspiration from the area’s early history prior to 1920, as illustrated in the photograph below.
  • It utilises traditional materials and construction techniques reflective of the period around 1910.
  • The architect incorporated local elements from Taipa into the building’s design, enhancing its connection to the community.
